Amdocs falls 39.72% premarket after releasing its fiscal 2027 outlook
Amdocs traded at $37.63 premarket at 11:18:59 CET, 39.72% below its 3 November close of $62.43. The company's official outlook calls for reported fiscal 2027 revenue to decline by 17.9% to 14.3%.
The largest confirmed move in the checked set of large and liquid companies was Amdocs. A Yahoo Finance snapshot showed the shares at $37.63 in premarket trading on 4 November 2026 at 05:18:59 US Eastern time, or 11:18:59 CET. The reference was the 3 November close of $62.43, a change of $24.80 or 39.72% lower. This was a premarket quote, not a closing price.
The move followed Amdocs' fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 results. The company reported quarterly revenue of $1.194 billion and full-year revenue of $4.697 billion, up 3.6% year over year on a reported basis.
The largest change in the release was the fiscal 2027 outlook. Amdocs expects reported revenue to decline by 17.9% to 14.3% year over year. On a pro forma constant-currency basis, the expected decline is 11% to 7%. These are different presentations and should not be mixed.
The company also said Amdocs and T-Mobile had issued notices to each other alleging material breaches of their agreements. Both sides threatened termination and other remedies, including arbitration. Amdocs stated that these circumstances were included in its conservative fiscal 2027 guidance assumptions, including a scenario in which either party terminates the agreements.
That does not mean one part of the release can be identified as the sole cause of the entire share-price decline. Premarket prices reflect many orders and usually thinner liquidity than the regular session. The results, outlook and contract dispute are confirmed context; the exact share of the reaction attributable to each remains interpretation.
For fiscal 2027, the company also guided to free cash flow of $440 million to $500 million and non-GAAP EPS of $5.19 to $5.48. By comparison, Amdocs reported fiscal 2026 non-GAAP EPS of $7.41 and free cash flow of $562 million. These figures help frame the size of the planned reset but do not predict the stock price.
A move of this size needs three labels: source, exact timestamp and reference point. The $37.63 quote can change before the open and during the regular session. This material is educational and is not a recommendation to buy or sell. Prodigy uses virtual money and simulated trades.
Why do reported and pro forma revenue declines differ?
The reported outlook includes the effects of changes in business scope, acquisitions, divestitures and currency movements under the company's presentation. The pro forma constant-currency view aims to show a more comparable operating base without some of those effects.
Both ranges come from the same release but answer different questions. That is why this article presents them separately rather than treating one as a substitute for the other.
Why can a premarket quote be more volatile?
Before the regular session opens, fewer orders and participants may be active. A single larger order can therefore move the quote more than it might during peak liquidity.
A premarket quote is a useful reaction snapshot, but it does not determine the opening or closing price. New orders and information can arrive once the regular session begins.
