AppLovin jumps 20% premarket after third-quarter results
Reuters reported on 5 November that AppLovin was up 20% in premarket trading after better-than-expected results. The snapshot is measured against the 4 November close and was read with the market data timestamped 13:04 CET.
The largest confirmed move in the checked set of large and liquid companies was AppLovin. Reuters reported that the shares were up 20% in premarket trading on 5 November 2026. The reference point was the 4 November close, and the market snapshot in the Reuters report was timestamped 07:04 US Eastern time, or 13:04 CET. This was a premarket quote, not the regular-session open or close.
In the same Reuters set, Qualcomm was down 9.6%, Snap 9%, Fair Isaac 8.5%, Nvidia 0.8%, Marvell 3.4% and Intel 2%. By absolute percentage change, AppLovin was therefore the largest move among those compared companies. The set does not include every listed stock and is not a ranking of the entire market.
The confirmed context was AppLovin's third-quarter release on 4 November. The company reported record revenue of $2.185 billion, up 55% year over year. Net income was $1.439 billion, up 72%, and diluted earnings per share were $4.30.
The company also issued fourth-quarter guidance of $2.365 billion to $2.395 billion in revenue and $1.995 billion to $2.025 billion in adjusted EBITDA. Adjusted EBITDA is a non-GAAP measure; AppLovin said it did not provide a full forward-looking GAAP reconciliation because of uncertainty and potential variability in reconciling items.
Reuters linked the immediate move to a third-quarter profit beat. That does not mean one line item can be identified as the sole cause of the entire price change. Premarket prices reflect many orders and usually thinner liquidity than regular trading hours.
Once the market opens, new orders may arrive, spreads may narrow, and the reaction may persist or reverse. Those are scenarios, not a forecast. The facts are the 20% snapshot versus the previous close at the stated time and the figures published by the company.

Why does the reference point matter?
The 20% change compares the premarket quote with the prior session's close, not with an arbitrary point in time. Without that reference, the number would be ambiguous.
The 13:04 CET timestamp identifies the snapshot. The price could move before and after that reading, so the graphic and article do not present it as a closing price.
Results and the price reaction
A company release provides measurable facts: revenue, profit, cash flow and guidance. The market compares those facts with earlier expectations, while the price reaction is created by all active orders.
It is therefore possible to confirm the timing of the results and the move and describe Reuters' stated context, but not to assign the entire change to one metric with mathematical certainty.
