Celestica rises about 17% pre-market after third-quarter results
Celestica was up about 17% from Monday's close in pre-market trading in a 12:51 CET snapshot, the largest move in the checked set. The company reported $5.83 billion of third-quarter 2026 revenue and issued a $40 billion revenue outlook for 2027.
The largest confirmed move in the afternoon set was Celestica: the shares were up about 17% from Monday's close in pre-market trading. MarketWatch published the snapshot on 27 October 2026 at 12:51 CET. This was a reading before the regular US session opened, not a closing price; the later price may differ.
For comparison, Reuters earlier showed SIG Group up 9.4%, BE Semiconductor Industries up 8.5% and HSBC down 6.7% in Europe. In its global snapshot, Brent was down 1% and gold 0.1%. Celestica therefore had the largest absolute move among these checked instruments, although the quotes came from different markets and times.
Celestica reported $5.83 billion of revenue for the third quarter of 2026, up 83% year on year. Adjusted earnings per share were $3.30. The company also issued a 2027 outlook for $40 billion of revenue and an adjusted operating margin of approximately 11%. These are company data and assumptions, not a guarantee of future results.
The report illustrates how quickly expectations for AI infrastructure can feed into hardware suppliers' valuations. The post-report share move does not prove that the entire change came from a single announcement or that it will continue after the market opens.
What changed in Celestica's report?
The company said third-quarter revenue exceeded the top end of its previous guidance range. Connectivity & Cloud Solutions accounted for 80% of revenue and grew 120% year on year, while Advanced Technology Solutions increased 8%.
The 2027 outlook calls for $40 billion of revenue and an adjusted operating margin of approximately 11%. The outlook reflects management's expectations based on current demand and customer programmes; actual results may differ.
Why does pre-market trading need careful comparison?
Pre-market trading usually has lower liquidity than the regular session. Fewer orders can amplify a move, and the price may change quickly after the opening bell.
That is why we state the reference point, Monday's close, and the 12:51 CET snapshot time. We do not present the move as a closing result or a forecast.
Fact versus scenario
The reported revenue, earnings per share, company outlook and observed pre-market move are facts. Whether AI-infrastructure demand keeps its pace and margins reach the assumed level remains a scenario.
